President Obama is doing that old adage "Go large, or don't go"
He and his cabinet are going to go after everything they can, because they have a year or less to get some of these major issues settled.

The republicans know that, and they are throwing up every road block they can. It will begin to take effect at some point.

But till then, it will be breathtaking the changes that are going to be thrown out.

I just hope as Democrats, we can keep it together long enough to help him.

2. The good thing about going big is that it tends to make the opposition look small.
It's brilliant politically.

6. It is Empire Strikes Back language from Yoda
Luke Skywalker (yeah, I am a Star Wars nut) looks at Master Yoda and says: I'll try.

Yoda peers at Luke long enough to respond: Do, or do not. There is no try.

Obama need not try to do any of his agenda. Either he comes big when he is at the height of his popularity or let the Republicans complain away all that is good, right, and measured about Obama.

He reached out to them. He tried to include them. He was working on all levels trying to get some middle ground or some understanding.

The right wing response was fu Obama.

Obama tried and got his butt handed back to him with a sniff of offense because he didn't hand over the presidency while he was trying. This budget is his attempt to say I want it all, NOW. The American people are with me. Give it to me.

Once he kisses the sky, he is going to need to drop back and work his magic on a number of small things because he has already gone all in with this.
