Dan Rather and CBS News reported the atrocities at Abu Ghraib and televised some of the photos.
For this they were labeled traitors by people who don't want the truth about this war to be told.
If Rove succeeds in discrediting Dan Rather over the TANG memos, then he will follow with a full court press to discredit everything Rather and CBS have ever reported.
The photos and story about Abu Ghraib will be discredited. The meme will be "CBS faked memos - what else did they fake?"
If you doubt that Rove is capable of this I have a bridge to sell you. Remember what happened to Valerie Plame when her husband politely corrected the blatant lie BushCo told in order to invade Iraq.
After CBS, down will come Sy Hersh and every other journalist who has reported on Abu Ghraib and every other atrocity associated with this war.
This is a line drawn in the sand. The relevant importance of the TANG story is not important. What is important is that Rove slimed a reporter within minutes of the report being telecast. Are we going to stand for this?
1. Btw, have you noticed how nothing is _____-gate since * took over?
With Clinton, everything was dubbed ____-gate by the whores and now??? It's as if nothing * does could rise to the level of impeachment in their eyes yet Clinton getting a haircut was?
That's what this is all about. They want to discredit Dan Rather and bring down CBS. Then they tear down every story CBS ever reported, right before the election.
They hope to create a massive scandal that will cause Rather's resignation in disgrace and "prove" once and for all that the liberal media is out to get them.
This is Rove's agenda. Don't doubt it. Don't let it happen!
I am on pins and needles to see if CBS can be stronger than the rove big lie machine. We have been waiting for a miracle as far as the media is concerned and here it is!
