Marist Poll: Kerry up in New York 51-40
This is good becuz the Quinnipiac poll released yesterday had Kerry up by only six points.

Among likely voters it's Kerry 51-40 and if you include "leaners" its Kerry 52-41.

There is lots of room for improvement, and improve we will in NY before the election.

For instance Kerry is only getting 73% of democrats (on the other hand Bush is only getting 75% of Republicans).

Dems are for Kerry 73-20
Reps are for Bush 75-15
Independents favor Kerry 47-38

In Upstate Bush leads 50-41
In the suburs Kerry leads 45-42
In NYC Kerry is up 59-27 with 9% undecided, many of those NYC voters will go for Kerry.

Finally Bush has a 60% disapproval rating in NY.
