I am quite certain that someone, somewhere on DU has already spoken to this tonight...
but I just gotta' say it...

After tonights speech by President Obama the issues were laid before the public with such clarity, and in such a fashion as to appeal to the "better angels of our nature," and the love most Americans have for our nation and its founding values, an appeal designed to call upon the communal efforts of sacrifice that have seen America through many times of emergency, that anything the Repubs do to play the partisan role can only appear as obstuctionism of the worst kind.

I view this as a good thing. :D

1. It was astonishing how petty the Republicans looked tonight.
We don't have the ratings yet, but I believe that at least 1/6 Americans saw the speech tonight, and it only furthers the negative view of the GOP.

2. Jindal's speech ripped aside the thin curtain of relevence
that the Repubs have tried to maintain over the last 8 years...and revealed the absolute paucity of their vision...and its anti-American basis.

3. I pray that at least one half of the people that watched the President tonight
Stayed up for Gov. Jindal.

4. Me Too!
My wife and I sat there while the President was speaking, both of us feeling like we were finally seeing the fog of the last eight years lift to reveal a real leader, someone who can present the face of competence and confidence to our nation and the world...we couldn't stop nodding our heads and smiling.

Jindal underlined that contrast in fat, red, felt tip marker, for all the world to see... :D
