1. my thoughts exactly
I know it's a LONG time until the next election season (it's what, like two weeks away or something?) but I really believe we saw the end of his Presidential hopes tonight.

Dont you cross Barack Obama! The supernatural powers that surround him will rise up against you! lol

3. Now don't be cruel, it was like Auntie 'Em duking with "The Champ" ... what can I say?
It sure as hell wasn't a "No Red States, No Blue States" kind of moment.

6. Me too
I was worried about Jindal, but I feel better after tonight. Then again, Obama's first foray into the spotlight (a Democratic radio address a few months before the 2004 convention) didn't go that well either.

7. No one ever wants to follow Obama's speeches...
it tends to make everyone look bad, but Jindal looked completely lost with the teleprompter. His style was worse than me in speech class during high school. Awkward as hell and made even more awkward when directly following Obama.

8. He probably just blew his shot at 2012 tonight
Jindal's appeal is that he is supposed to be the Republican version of Obama, and Obama came to prominence with a great speech in front of the whole nation. Jindal just had his shot, and... yeah.

12. President Obama vs Governor Doofus Exorcist
reminded me of nothing so much as John Cleese (as Ken Clean Air System) boxing the schoolgirl on Monty Python.

14. Same here...On paper he looks good..
..too bad he was on video!

The GOP really stubbed its toe on this one. This failure suggest not only a lack of quality candidates but a lack of strategic leadership. Somehow they can't get beyond the 'pick a minority group member' mentality. They have yet to realize that its NOT the messenger, its the MESSAGE that is their albatross. "Cut taxes" is not a public policy solution to contemporary problems. Our taxes aren't too high, they are simply misdirected to crap like the Iraq war.

18. Hey Jindal! This is NOT a competition,
asshole.

"...As I grew up, my mom and dad taught me the values that attracted them to this country - and they instilled in me an immigrant's wonder at the greatness of America. As a child, I remember going to the grocery store with my dad. Growing up in India, he had seen extreme poverty. And as we walked through the aisles, looking at the endless variety on the shelves, he would tell me: 'Bobby, Americans can do anything.' I still believe that to this day. Americans can do anything. When we pull together, there is no challenge we cannot overcome...."

go fuck yerself.

21. He really did look like a dork when he came out.
You could even hear KO on MSNBC give a little disgusted sigh of "oh god" just as he walked out. Then he opened his mouth and things got worse.
