That speech was a masterpiece. Even a child could understand him and feel good about the future

4. I was thinking the same thing, but Reagan didn't have his voice this early
He beat Carter soundly by asking the Iranians to keep the hostages past the election so he would look good. Hinkley Jr. tried to kill him two months into his term. The economy was AWFUL. He spent an enormous amount on the military and tax cuts for the wealthy. It wasn't until his second year in office that he really found his voice.

Obama is starting with nothing and yet captivates the nation. He's investing in infrastructure (like Eisenhower did) to revive the economy. It'll work, too.

I am very hopeful (no matter what Bill Clinton might think).

6. Why? It's very accurate.
I mean, I hate Reagan and everything he stood for, and yet I realize what one of Obama's greatest strengths is: he has all the communication skills of Reagan to get people to eat up what he says with a great big spoon, yet what HE's advocating is the exact opposite of the Reagan philosophies that put our country in the toilet.

He's like OUR Reagan. The Reagan who thinks the way we do. And it's driving his opposition nuts because they have nothing and no way of successfully countering it, just like the Dems didn't in the '80s. Whatever they do, they end up sounding like a bunch of dour losers.

11. Except Obama actually knows what he is doing
Unlike Reagan, who "acted" the role of the President. I think the GOP is scared more than anything else.

Obama is the Messiah!

I finally see the light;;-) the next time one of them says that to me online, I'm going to agree 100% and ask if they pray to him yet.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

They want us to be embarrassed by his popularity and ability to inspire. I'm going to embrace it fully. I need a t-shirt: Obama is my Messiah!!!
