Former DUer, Jeff Seemann, Dean Dozen, posts at the blog. Go, AWD!
A quote from Marcy Kaptur about Jeff:
"will be a breath of fresh air in Washington."

A quote from Jeff about Jeff:
"I like to think that because of people like Governor Dean, it will be more like a box of tic-tacs poured into the mouth of Uncle Sam..."

Thank you from Jeff Seemann

"When my political director spun his lap-top around to show me I was part of the final Dean Dozen, my involvement in the political process came full-circle.

Like all of us, I was inspired by the Governor. He gave me hope that one day (soon) we could return the power of government to the hands best equipped to hold that responsibility. That is why in July 2003 I held a Garage Sale for Democracy to make money for a booth for Governor Dean at my local county fair. It was a start, but I decided it wasn't enough for me."

So, in December 2003, I filed to run against Ralph Regula for United States Congress in Ohio's 16th Congressional District.

The ride to the Capitol is a roller coaster. Along the way, I have learned just how challenging it is for the average American to run for office. I don't have rolodexes full of rich power broker friends many challengers and all incumbents hold; I am an American who knows what it is like to live paycheck to paycheck, get laid off, and go extended periods of time with inadequate or no health insurance at all. That is why I am running for Congress, because too many Americans share those experiences...."

Jeff is a Kos poster and advertiser, and they also raised good money for him. Good luck to him.

1. change is in the air
and Jeff will be part of it. I predict 16 termer time is up. Rasmussen has consistently put the dems ahead by 4-6 points on the congressional question and I think this could be the year we take back the house and hopefully with AWD as part of the freshmen class.

2. I would love to find that pic of AWD and the bullhorn at the protest.
I am amazed at how he has just stepped in here and done so well. I remember seeing on the internet the Bush protest he led in the rain.

3. Yes, Good Luck to Jeff Seeman!
Good Luck to Jeff and Kerry/Edwards in Ohio!

"The Washington Post, Boston Globe, Associated Press, CNN, Newsweek, and other major news outlets have referred to the 16th Congressional District of Ohio as the bellwether district in the country's premier battleground state."

And they have a " fundraiser with Margaret Cho October 10th"

4. When I saw his tic tacs statement, I had a thought.
It was this. Only a true Deaniac would think of something like that.

8. Jeff definetly has a way with words!
When I read that I thought .."what an amazingly true, biting, image he's put out there for the voters."

6. I don't know.
I don't know if polls have been done. Jeff doesn't talk about what his campaign knows.
