Gallup Daily Approval

63%

http://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/Gallup-Daily-Obama-Job-Approval.aspx

Bipartisanship

Would rather see the president try to pass laws with bipartisan compromise

All respondents: Yes 55%
Democrats: Yes 40%

Fifty-five percent of all respondents questioned in the poll would rather see the president try to pass laws with bipartisan compromise. But that number drops 15 points, to 40 percent, among Democrats in the survey. Fifty-eight percent of Democrats would rather see Obama try to pass laws without Republican support.

2. Easy to say, harder to do. With 0 GOP support in the Senate, how does Obama get a law passed?
As things stand today minimal GOP support is needed in the Senate.

4. Nuclear Option.
Dems should do it and call the bluff the GOP made in 2005. Remember all the Repugs who supported it then -- on camera? I bet they have no problem turning around and saying the exact opposite now.

6. Hold your breath on that one because I don't see it happening.
Nice to talk about, unlikely to ever happen.

7. And remember all the Dems who opposed it then -- on camera?
What makes you so sure the public will hate their hypocrisy more than they'll hate ours?

3. And that's EXACTLY why he's doing it......
..... he's got us, he's not gonna get the far right (because he's never even been to a hockey game) so he just has to hold the folks in the middle.

The "undecided/independants" HATE partisan bickering. Remember those folks during the debates with their sliders giving CNN feedback about each candidate's performance? Whenever McCain would bash Obama or the Democrats, or mention anything about parisanship, his line would drop like a stone.

Ron Paul had to pick a side or he'd have no backing at all .... but his supporters like him because he's against partisanship.

Barack Obama is a LOT of things, but "fool" is not one of them.

5. And this is why he does it
When he reaches out - He's the good guy.
Rethugs slap him - They're the bad guys.

His polls go up, theirs go down. Democrats running for Congress and Senate in 2010 get his reflected glory and win. Filibuster-proof majority in the Senate happens. Republicans become irrelevant. Full Obama agenda enacted. America better.
Don't know how I can put it more simply for those who STILL refuse to get it.
