This is a pretty good article on the C-SPAN Presidential Rankings.
It seems rather unbiased, but the discussion of Clinton and Bush I might touch a few nerves here.

But I still think it's a good read, especially about Kennedy's ranking.

1. I just don't get the Reagan ranking of 10/11. He was a b actor who really didn't
cause the collapse of the USSR (Afghan War did that) and was involved in illegal operations (Iran Contra)

2. Seems to me a lot of the historians are buying in to the revisionism/redo of Reagan's legacy.

4. JFK, like Reagan, is rated FAR too highly. Style over substance. nt

3. Someone tell the author Bush I had a friendlier Congress than did Dem Clinton. Comparing...
their congressional relations is apples and oranges.

5. Reagan ran up one of the largest deficit of the times.
Only W ran a bigger budget deficit. He had a huge recession which he and Greenspan covered up by spending, spending, spending. He DOUBLED ALL Middle Class and Working Poor American's payroll taxes, while reducing, by a third, all the uber wealthy's taxes. He doubled my Social Security taxes, put my money in a social security trust fund then turned around and borrowed all the money. So W could claim we have a Social Security crisis.

Reagan had a huge scandal with running drugs in order to buy weapons for terrorists, in violation of American law.

The man was the beginning of the downward spiral that lead to this economic crisis.
