9. Brown isn't going to get there until 10:30pm.
So you've got time to watch a movie, then flip over to CSPAN for the exciting conclusion.

17. If they are to the point of voting, what is the threat of a filibuster?
Edited on Fri Feb-13-09 07:22 PM by hedgehog
I'd say all they need now is 51 votes. It's not like Obama is planning to veto the bill!

18. They need 60 due to some type of budget rule.
Since the bill will add to the deficit, they need 60 votes to pass.

21. It's certainly more of an emergency than Iraq ever was!
Having us go into a depression is certainly more important than killing 4000 of our people in a desert in Iraq where no WMD's ever existed.

20. I wish the news would report that one repubican could switch his vote so Brown could grieve in peace
the wake is today and the funeral is tomorrow and Brown is coming back for this vote. Some republican should switch over, one in a safe state, and say he's doing it only so Brown can stay with his family AT HIS MOTHER'S FUNERAL!

For gawds sake.
