3. Bloomberg and Rudy don't want to be Senators...
and Golisano is a throwaway candidate. So, he's the one I'd want to see run.

But, I'd be skeered if Peter King ran-- he's a nutcase but he'll have plenty of downstate support and will play very well in the more retarded upstate regions. Others? Don't know enough about the rest of them.

11. I thought Rudy never wanted the job
According to a NYTimes article that took a look back at the Hillary vs Rudy senate race before Rudy dropped out, the only reason Rudy really got into the race was because he wanted to be able to brag that he beat a Clinton. He never wanted the job as senator, and his lack of campaigning outside of NYC was more evidence of that.
