Obama: “I’m not interested in groupthink"

President Obama introduced the members of his Economic Recovery Advisory Board at a White House event Friday, staffing his newest panel of advisers with leaders from the financial and manufacturing sectors, as well as representatives from organized labor and academia.

.
“I’m not interested in groupthink,” Obama said. “Not everyone is going to agree with each other, and not all of them are going to agree with me – and that’s precisely the point."

Now that's how a leader talks and acts.

1. I heard this and he's got the best group of people you could wish for
I can't imagine how McCain and Palin would have even come near to being able to put something together like this.

2. Yeah, sure.

Especially when the group is the majority of the American people and they want single payer health care.

Or out of Iraq.

4. Um...
He is starting the process of getting out of Iraq, and will complete it in the 16 months he promised.

He just signed SCHIP the other day... which is a good first step toward universal health care. At least the children are taken care of now.

He's fighting several major fires at once... and he'll get to everything. The economic collapse is, necessarily, the first order of business.

5. Not getting out of Iraq.

He is removing most combat brigades, some of which go to Afghanistan, but maintaining a military presence. Iraq will remain under the thumb of the US military.

SCHIP has nothing to do with single payer. Have you not seen his health care proposal? Not much more than mandated insurance, with the insurance companies still in the saddle. Useless.
