the man cut his teeth working with religious organizations as a community organizer and has promised to work more closely with them for quite some time. at least he gave you fair warning.

I am NOT religious, but I think that what he said in this speech was perhaps the most significant thus far in communicating a world view that should help a great deal in undoing the disaster of the last 8 years.

He also gave NON-believers a big shout out, more than once.

I would ask that you watch when it comes out on video, and then see what you think.

I was crying over his eloquence---and I do not believe in organized religion.

I still have big issues with religion being so entwined in the government. This trend must stop.

I am no fan of organized religion. I am no fan of Republicans, either.

However they both exist, and we need to coexist, wherever possible. This is a means to a better end for us all--even if we have to drag them kicking and screaming into OUR fold. LOL

I think this strategy by Obama WILL pay off in the long run. Short term, this is quite jarring for some. I am beginning to get the hang of what he is doing, and I think it is worth trying. I believe he intends to work at making extremist fundamentalism (in both religion and politics)as impotent as possible---a tall endeavor; but it is perhaps, the world's only hope of survival.
