5. Daschle hadn't declared income on a Caddy & driver provided by someone else.
To the tune of $100K for 3 years. He has now paid the back taxes, so his nom will now probly fly. I wouldn't count on him being out of it.

8. Yeah, the rules are different for the rest of us.
*sigh* I'm so fucking sick of this shit. If I don't dot my "i"s and cross my "t"s, I'm in big trouble, and I've got to pay up or else.

But members of the RULING CLASS get to fuck up all over the place.

I do not intend to ever forget Daschle standing next to bush* in the Rose Garden, as bush* signed the IWR. Daschle can take a flying fuck. Obama can take a flying fuck for attempting to give that asshat any kind of place at the table again.

When is this hell ever going to end?

7. Paging Dr Dean to the Emergency Room
The United States health care system is coding - it's in ventricular fibrillation and needs your steady hand to shock it back.

9. Daschle's safe
if Geithner can pass muster, then Tommy's going to sail through the Senate.

But Howard Dean was certainly the right person for the job. Hell, he should have at least been considered for Surgeon General over some TV hack!

I haven't heard anything about him being denied the spot. I think he will still get it.

21. Should have been the nominee in the first place.....
but it ain't happening unfortunately. Dean deserved a plum nomination, but I guess we'll all have to speculate why it didn't happen, much like the Caroline Kennedy senate seat derailment.
