4. When Bush was giving Barack his first tour of the White House....
.... a couple of months ago, when they went into the East Room, the scene of SO MANY Presidential addresses to the nation throughout it's history, Bush said to him, "This is where Laura throws parties for our supporters, one time, I had to wear a tux."

Ok, that's not REALLY true .... but do any of us think it's that far outside the realm of possibility? :)

5. Of all of the changes he has made so far, his ability to communicate
is leading the way. He's had more addresses to the nation than Bush had in his first five years.

6. I really would be interested to know.....
.... how many times Bush addressed the reporters from the East Room. I'd venture to guess it was FEWER times than Barack held press briefings DURING HIS TRANSITION!!!!

One of the things he talks about in "Audacity" is the importance of being able to get your message out to your constituents. He talked about all of the MILLIONS of dollars a candidate in the Chicago media market has to raise to be able to run ads effectively.

Anyway, I'm sure one of his fav. things about being President is how there are constantly people with cameras in their hands just WAITING for you to say something. :)

7. I wish Obama would do evening prime-time "fire-side" type chats...
This country needs some reassuring.

8. Well, the whole thing can be summarized in one sentence:
We are in a shit load of trouble and there are not enough backhoes to get us out of this pile of manure anytime soon.

:-(

9. This is so great! I love that Obama keeps us informed along the way
I hope he tells America in his own words about the Republicans obstructing any attempt to ease this slide into a depression would be or is a sign the Republicans want America to fail. Because that is exactly what they are doing.

McCain? WTF happened to your effort to stimulate the economy by suspending the election to address this issue. Your nothing but a crook McCain. And fuck this Obama vs. McCain BS CNN tries to portray. The election is over! Obama won! Get over it!

13. NO publicity on the MSM in advance- this is
the ONLY place I found out about it. I watched it on CNN, then came back to the computer and looked on the NY Times and Yahoo, which I happened to have open and NOTHING about it, even afterward.
