Interesting notes from the Obama meeting going on now
From the Politico Rag:

INSIDE THE ROOM: The first House GOP question for Obama comes from Michigan Rep. Dave Camp, who asks if it’s possible to find “more common ground” on tax cuts. A source in the room says Obama responded by saying: “On tax cuts, I'm not going to compromise. On this one, feel free to whack me over the head."

A House GOPer tells Politico Obama's not picking up votes: "Nope. He said he won't compromise on more tax cuts. All form -- not substance"

ALSO: A top Democrat tells Politico’s John Bresnahan that Arlen Specter is ready to back Eric Holder as attorney general – possibly clearing the way for a confirmation vote on the Senate floor by Thursday.

5. Obama is doing what he promised he would do
And thats try to be bipartisan. As long as he continues to do that. His approval will stay very high. He's making them look like obstructionist.

6. Yeah, what matters is his approval rating, not getting good policy
passed.

12. Yes his approval ratings do matter
He works for the people. And if they approve of what he is doing it has an effect on getting good policy passed

13. He just said he wanted "input" from everyone. Didn't say
he'd necessarily change his mind or plans based on their "input".

But at least he's offering them the opportunity to play....something *co NEVER did.

They just need to suckitup & get over the fact that THEY ARE NO LONGER IN CHARGE.
Can you say sore-loser?
