Anyone hear Limbaugh's economic proposal today?
He says it should be split up based on the election percentages: 54% spent on Obama's Keynesian proposals and 46% spent on the Republicans' Supply Side proposals. Interesting proposal coming from the guy who had no problem with George W. Bush's 100% Supply Side proposal after losing the popular vote in the election.

3. Interesting given supply side economics and tax cuts for wealthy have been a terrific failure
which is taking this country to the point of collapse.

6. What's amusing to me is...
They railed against the bailouts as being highway robbery because the companies weren't going to use the money to help the people. Well what do they think the companies are going to do with their tax cuts? They're going to pocket that extra income. The Supply Side theory is that they'll use the extra money to create more jobs. If you believe that a government bailout of corporate America is highway robbery for the wealthy, then you should believe the same thing about these corporate tax breaks. I for one am against both the Keynesian and Supply Side BS. I'm pretty much against government spending in general, and that includes tax cuts for corporations.

11. Bush said that his $550 Billion in tax cuts to the wealthy would create 1 million jobs.
By Bush's own reckoning, if you give a billionaire $550,000 in tax savings, they will create ONE job.

4. That's the problem with most of their proposals. They always want a "level"
playing field after stacking the deck for decades and decades.

Do something useful, you tub of goo. Choke on something. A ham sandwich. An oxycontin tablet. A cigar rammed down your throat. I don't care what. Just Choke.

10. Better idea: How about Obama's Economic Stimulus only be spent in counties that voted for him.
Edited on Mon Jan-26-09 02:23 PM by Ian David

12. Please don't remind me.
My county was 25% to 75% for the other ticket. It doesn't get much redder than that.

16. That idea is just as dumb as Limbaugh's
Obama is President of the entire country, not just of the people who voted for him. I don't know how much clearer he has to make that.

He would just have to agree to fix, with interests interest, the situation derived from not doing that over the last 100 years.
