The program starts out with the Invocation from Bishop Gene Robinson.

Just wanted to let folks know that.

1. Isn't that great! HBO listened and fixed it! Or the transition team?..
Just glad he was included.

I'm not sure how many more days it is being offered. Evidently it has been available for some time....

6. Yes, via Comcast on Demand....under premium channels, HBO offerings.
It is not subcategorized......as it is its own category.

10. Winston-Salem NC and it's Time/Warner Cable
Edited on Sun Jan-25-09 09:57 PM by libnnc
We watched it on HBO On Demand. It started with the overture and not the invocation.

Edit to add: they edited out the presentation of the Bald Eagles too. I wanted to see that part again and they cut it out

11. I'm in Northern California.....
I haven't looked for the Eagles...but Bishop Robinson was definitely the first one up, and the filming was just like the rest of the program....not that footage via Youtube.

Too bad I don't know how to get that footage from the Television over to my computer. :(

9. This seems to indicate that HBO was responsible for the initial omission
Perhaps Obama's team was trying to be gracious, just like they were to Justice Roberts after his screw up.

20. No it doesn't
The man spoke at 2:20 and HBO recorded, as they said they would, at 2:30.

12. I was hoping you'd report that. I'm still bothered by the fact that it wasn't aired
initially and that HBO blamed the Obama inaugural committee for the oversight. That really bothers me if true.

14. The HBO webcast of the concert now also starts with Robinson's invocation.
http://www.hbo.com/weareone/webcast/index.html

The original webcast included the two bald eagles. Maybe someone can report whether that scene is still there.

24. True. On the other hand he looks really cheezy and stupid
compared to the rest of the celebration/ceremony.

He looks like a fraud and a halfwit.

Which is EXACTLY what he is.

and if he stabs Obama in the back now, he looks like judas...(heh).

21. Cablevision in NY includes it now too. I saw the rerun last
night and I saw Bishop Robinson's Invocation, which was not part of the broadcast when I saw it last Sunday.

What a wonderful job he did! I really liked how he specifically talked about (then) PE Obama and the challenges he will face, including maintaining a special relationship with his daughters.
