If big guys can't/won't tell us what they are doing with TARP $- give the the little guys a shot

Like the smaller banks and credit unions that weren't "sophisticated" enough to piss away all their monies in credit default swaps and the ninja mortgages. Local credit unions and state chartered banks might be a quicker way to unlock credit and get money to actual homeowners, consumers, small businesses and the like.

I was very surprised to find out on Bankrate.com that one of the very few 5 star banks I could find in my area was a smaller one that I had never heard of but appears to have outperformed everyone else in terms of liquidity, performance, overhead, etc.
