I think she hates him. When they first got in I didn't really get that from her at all. I hated him just as much then as I do now, and I've never cared one fig about her one way or the other so I feel safe in saying that I'm not projecting.

The look I've seen on her face when with him in the last two years is best described as barely contained contempt, excepting a few formal interviews where she's managed to construct fleeting veneers of devotion.

It can be fairly easy to publish photos of people with goofy facial expressions - especially from video stills - because in the process of yawning or reacting or whatever, people look strange. We just don't see it because it's part of a facial movement or process.

As a recovering alcoholic, I think he has pretty solidly distanced himself from compromising everything and ruining his life even more by drinking. It doesn't make sense, and he wouldn't look so healthy and awake so often if this were the case.

Sure, everyone takes a bad picture now and then, yet I challenge you to find even one picture of George W. Bush where it looks like he's even halfway on the ball.

If you truly are a recovering alcoholic, then you should know that EVERY bit of his bizarre behavior over 8 years can be easily attributed to full-blown alcoholism. There were clearly times (such as at the G-8 Conference, where he tried to give the German Prime Minister a neckrub, and at the Olympics, when he had to be physically helped to his seat by a half-dozen Secret Service agents) that he was barely able to stand.
