Obama Hints he won't Preserve Bush secrets:
I will also hold myself as President to a new standard of openness. Going forward, anytime the American people want to know something that I or a former President wants to withhold, we will have to consult with the Attorney General and the White House Counsel, whose business it is to ensure compliance with the rule of law. Information will not be withheld just because I say so. It will be withheld because a separate authority believes my request is well grounded in the Constitution.

2. How is this different than
claiming executive privilege as Clinton and Bush did. i am sure their White house counsel and Attorney general said they were constitutional in the exercising of it. Also there is great debate as to whether Obama can waive Bush's claim of executive privilege.

6. I'd been curious about that very same thing...

I'd been curious about that very same thing, but fear no more...

As per the book, "Presidential Secrecy and Deception: Beyond the Power to Persuade" by by John M. Orman, a sitting President may revoke the claim of executive privileged made by a previous President.

3. So...does this mean that we get to find out if...
...Asshole preferred his PBJ sandwiches cut in triangles or squares?

Seriously...I would LOVE to have every bit of info on that rat bastard Bush let out so that a prosecution on war crime charges could proceed post haste.

JMHO
