2. I felt that way last night too

Tonight, at long last, I will not go to sleep with lingering angst over what horror the morning will bring.

No, national forests will not be sold off in the middle of the night. No, workers will not be exposed to hazardous chemicals with the blessing of the Labor Secretary. No, there will not be any canyons bulldozed and filled in order to keep the scary Mexicans away. No, endangered species will not be imperiled.

I didn't think about it until I read your post but -

fell asleep around 11 watching CSPAN's coverage of the inaugural balls; didn't wake up until my alarm went off at 6:30. I usually wake once or twice during the night - not last night. :D

I woke up only once, instead of 2 or 3 times, and when I did, I was instantly back asleep. I also just felt RESTED when I woke up.
