Larry King: What is it about him? Because he's no Clark Gable
Edited on Wed Jan-21-09 01:57 AM by FrenchieCat
That was Larry King talking to Ms. Huffington,
asking what the fascination with Barack is all about.

But really, what kind of a comment is that to make on National Television
about our new President?

Perhaps Larry King ain't no Clark Cable.....
but Larry King can kiss my ass.

Why should Obama be compared to a dead White actor from the 40s? :wtf:

Is Larry King ready to retire, or will he have to drop dead on the set?
Cause I'm kinda almost ready for that.

Edited on Wed Jan-21-09 01:44 AM by FrenchieCat
I guess Clark Gable was the high Bar for Larry King's generation....

Larry King is obviously quite superficial....since he doesn't understand that it ain't one thing, its the total package.

But then I remember seeing his gold digging trophy looking wife.

7. Larry King is very out of touch. He is only plugged into what the
old wealthy guys of his own generation are interested in.

I think Clark Gable was a great icon and actor.

I think Obama is proving himself to be a great icon and hopefully a great president.

Larry King is a has been TV host.

I could answer: "Finally, we have an articulate and intelligent president that doesn't have the ulterior motive of enriching himself and his friends at the expense of the country."

17. While Clark Gable was hot....
Edited on Wed Jan-21-09 09:22 AM by Clio the Leo
... he would NEVER have been able to help us fix this mess we're in.

It's the brains baby the brains ..... and the empathetic spirit ..... the introspective nature ..... the self-depricating humor..... and, most importantly, the desire to learn.

(and it's also the lanky body, the pigeon toes, the high cheekbones, the large hands, the ENORMOUS grin and, if you'll forgive me, the pimp in his walk. The man would be my "type" if he was working in a sewer. And we all know he'd be the BEST sanitation worker he could be! lol)

READ that book son!!! RULE THE WORLD!!!!

21. Oh, there's a cool story behind that.....
I dont know if you remember, but he did an appearance on CNN's Fareed Zakaria last summer.

The other photo I posted shows him reading Zakaria's "The Post-American World" a full month BEFORE Fareed invited him onto the show.

It's not exactly the sports page of the Houston Chorincle.

We're going to have to adjust to a President who likes books. lol

29. I dunno....
... the only time I manage to get a book in is if the President is reading it to me. (an Audiobook that is.)

He should come out with a whole series of those .... it would expand my literary palate. You know, "President Obama Reads the Literary Greats" lol

that is already ON CLOUD NINE and having a FREAKING BLAST "Y'all ready to have some fun?" Like nobody's already rockin out. Give me a break, Usher. You ain't the be all and end all even if you are hanging with not-so-little Stevie (who was killer, yes indeed).

What in the WORLD? Larry King is so out of touch as to be living on another planet!

And President Obama is much better looking than Clark Gable, anyway.

Obama's appeal is easy to see. OTOH, Larry the Cryptkeeper should have gone off the air years ago. Basically, Larry's jealous.
