Just want to say that all day today, the media was talking about tomorrow....
as though they couldn't report on the now, now. Only could seem to report on how after the celebration, how bleak things would be.

Why to these people exist, and why are they paid to do such a diservice to the public?

2. Yep.. And every beef they have will show up on here in seconds..
.
.

-- Of course, it will fit right in with all the in-house bellyaching..

In the meantime though, I hope our First Lady has kicked off those heels and is soaking her tootsies! ~~~

6. No. Barack has already explained about how the squeaky wheel gets the greese.
He hasn't invited anybody to "shut up".
That's only one reason why people the world over feel a sense of relief, today.

3. My husband was just saying how much the inaugural speech
touched him...both of us. Then we start listening to the commentators and they say it's hawkish, and sounded like the same stuff Bush was saying in his speeches. We didn't get that feeling at all. By tomorrow it will be a hawkish, warmonger speech. Fuck them. That's why I like CSPAN when they cover stuff. No talking! Let me make up my own mind dammit!

7. lady on with chris matthews earlier....don't know her name...kinda
red hair? and Michelle Bernard. After the long drawn out conversation about it being hawkish, Michelle said it was a good speech.

8. Ah, Michelle Bernard, when I see her I'm reminded of Malkin.
Better looking, slightly more moderate, but still, totally in it for the $$$. I mean, very fluffy.

10. I knew it was a good speech when I heard it, but when Pat Buchanan praised
it, and he was a speech writer, I knew it really was good. If Pat didn't think so..well you know how he is. It was a mature, well-written speech that will go down as one of the best. The dimwit pundits were looking for a sound byte. "Ask not"......

11. Exactly! They want some phrase they can repeat over and over
and even out of context.

4. This is a time when this lyric comes to mind
About so much of the MSM

Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?

Well, you walk into the room
Like a camel and then you frown
You put your eyes in your pocket
And your nose on the ground
There ought to be a law
Against you comin' around
You should be made
To wear earphones

Because something is happening here
But you don't know what it is
Do you, Mister Jones?

9. Some were bitching because
no "soundbites" could be taken from the speech. I thought it was a superior speech, one of his best, and that the whole damn thing was one BIG soundbite. I loved the whole thing. It was strong, it was inclusive, and it was inspiring. I don't think President Obama thinks in soundbites and I'm glad for it.
