It just hit me....watching Obama dance
I wasn't able to watch the oath or the parade today because of work.(I did listen but that doesn't really do today justice), but watching Obama tonight at the Youth Ball, dancing with Michelle, it finally hit me.

Not to wax poetic, but this happened. Eight years in the darkness and it happened. I watching he and Michelle hamming it up, and I'm smiling, not because the scene is funny (it was), not because I really really like the guy as a person (I do) but because he inspires me. I have a President who makes me proud and excited for my country.I have a President I can rally around and use as a jumping off point to make the world around me better.

I'm not treading any new trails with this discovery, most of you have been saying the same thing, but I was just surprised at how strongly that feeling came over me.

2. I'm happy for everyone who gets it tonight. I'm happy for everyone who doesn't get it too.
Because the long inhumane travesty that was the * administration is finally OVER. Today we had us some progress.

5. I know what you mean.
I have felt cynical and despairing for so long, it is hard to recognize hope and joy when they finally came around again. But I'm getting there.

I'm actually looking forward to reading the news now! This is going to be one fascinating ride.

6. A President and Vice President who make me smile
instead of making me want to punch a wall and throw up my dinner every night. The changes are many and vast. It's just lovely, wonderful, it feels like the renaissance after the dark ages.

7. I wasn't aware they danced to the same song at every ball...If I'm the President. I don't want to
hear "at last" for another four years.
