Anyone feel that Bush's official TANG record has been blurred.....
Edited on Tue Sep-14-04 06:43 PM by dennis4868
meaning, do you feel that this whole CBS memo situation has blurried the facts that by all the official (undisputed) military records, Bush lied on his national guard forms that he was never arrested, that he took off from the TANG and went to Alabama without approval from his supervisors, then gets permission to go to the Alabama National Guard and then never shows. And now the new military records that have come out and analyzed by the Boston Globe show that Bush was suppose to show up in the Mass. National Guard and again never showed up for duty......this is serious stuff and a violation of the law.

But anyone think all of the FACTS are lost with the CBS memo controversy dominating this story?

I feel that it has. The talk on TV is no longer what Bush did and did not do and how he broke the law and did not fulfull his requirements, but instead it is about how CBS is better come clean soon and that the memos are definitely forged (i dont personally think they are forgeries). It's too bad because what Bush did in the 1970s should be a real turn off to every voter!

3. What's really sad is that - like the debate standards -
Bush still gets to be graded on his own scale.

In the debates, he only has to refrain from making a COMPLETE fool of himself. The media crowns him winner.

In the war record category, he gets to slide by with an obvious draft dodge, while Kerry has to prove he single-handedly saved democracy from the evil communists.

It's all so depressingly pathetic.

4. Well said!
I realize there are many important issues on the table but I wish there was a definitive way to prove what a louse *, his cabinet and his policies are. This is the president; he's never been held accountable for his military non-record. And this war. OMG, I don't ever see a way to resolve it. And more die...
