Obama serious slammed Bush and Cheney in the speech......
...and I'm loving it.

A billion people world-wide got to hear that this President will not be like the last one.

"The American people have chosen hope over fear"

DOWN GOES BUSH!

"Our economy is badly weakened.."

DOWN GOES BUSH!

"But our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions -- that time has surely passed."

DOWN GOES BUSH!

"a nation cannot prosper long when it favors only the prosperous."

DOWN GOES BUSH!

"As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals. Our Founding Fathers, faced with perils we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations. Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience's sake. "

DOWN GOES CHENEY!

1. Each time bu$h cringed
I had to endure watching the event through FAUX in the lunchroom.

The person responsible for setting up the streaming video is republican. In fact I call him my pet republican.

There were about 200 people came to watch. I made a point to sit by my pet republican along with several other of my radical companions.

We were not assholes but it was nice to see his discomfort sitting among us and have to endure the cheers from the room and watch so many of us get choked up over the change.

3. "We will restore Science to its rightful place." I think he hinted an accurate yet
partial picture of some of the serious problems created by the smirker...and it happened to be very unflattering to the previous administration. He didn't go after the slam...but he has to be honest and he has to separate his administration from the previous one in order to do what needs to be done.
