3. Feelings are important
"In close elections such as this, the intensity of candidate support is of utmost importance," Mayur said.

"Both Kerry and Bush have been successful in winning the allegiance of more and more of their respective party's traditional support base. However, the president has consistently drawn stronger support from his supporters than Sen. Kerry.

"Past elections have shown intensity of candidate support strongly influences voter turnout," he said.

IBD's poll shows Bush's intensity numbers are 25 percentage points above Kerry's 60%.

While Bush has locked up his party's loyalty, Kerry still has room to improve. Ninety-four percent of Republicans support Bush, while 83% of Democrats back Kerry.

look at Zell miller and those other religious nuts.

They are southern people who have lost touch with america. and that will backfire on those fundies big time. They will lose so bad, they won't know what the hell happened. Then Kerry might send some white coats to help zell.

10. I'm not surprised
I am, at heart, lukewarm about Kerry, but of course when I think of smirky, I become a lot more enthused about JK. We all need to realize that JK may not be exactly what we want, but we MUST unite behind him and make getting rid of * our TOP priority.

8. Ninety-four percent of Republicans support Bush
I find this statement from that article hard to believe. unless i'm only running into the 6% that don't.

11. I'm with you, MsTryska
I keep running into Pubbies who HATE Bush and tho they voted for him in 2000, are voting Kerry this time. Surely all 6% cannot be here in Phoenix? :)
