9. What happened is that Robinson's invocation started ten minutes before the event began.

Ten minutes before the sound system went live. Ten minutes before television coverage began. Ten minutes before the Obama team's announcements said that the event would begin.

So nobody heard it. Not even the people there.

There are posts here from people who were actually at the event. There were some problems, but there was sound. It was ridiculous that he wasn't included in the HBO broadcast, but we don't know how that decision was made yet.

Kenny Yum of the Canada's National Post was liveblogging the event and reported that many there couldn't even hear Robinson (mic problems?) and were shouting "We can't hear you."

In the replay at 7pm/east they didn't show the two scenes with the eagle. I'm very sad, I wanted to see that again.

The original broadcast was two hours.

In the re-broadcast, they cut out the eagles and the greeting at the end, in order to put in about 5 minutes worth of promotion for HBO programming.

I noticed because I Tivo'd the re-broadcast, and particularly wanted to see the eagles again.
