the claims made by other news sources regarding the memos and names them, the LA Times says this, the Dallas Morning News says that, the New York Times, the Washington Post. They even quote to the White House and yes, they mention that Laura Bush says they are fake and "terrible".

They sure are going out of their way to tell everyone exactly who is saying what. Hmmmmm.

It's almost cockiness.

1. I think they are flushing out the quail

CBS may be lining everything up to do an expose on how the Right manipulates the media.

Also, I am starting to think the question "who has the originals and how did they get them" is CBS's ace in the hole.

3. I cannot believe what I just head on MSNBC
Tom Delay is calling for Dan Rather to reveal his sources as a matter of National Security. Forged documents are a serious matter he says. How is this source a matter of national security and the outing of Valerie Plame not? Give me a break. Maybe Dan Rather will reveal his sources at a press conference with Bob Novak when he reveals his.

5. But they're not forged!!
At least, that hasn't been proven, so what the heck is Tom DeInsane-pants talking about? And as another DU-er mentioned in another thread, this isn't the only evidence being used to question W's service. The issue won't go away, no matter what happens with the documents.

This will just be soooo good if CBS and Rather do have something they're waiting to lay on us all. Groovy.

2. Dan Rather hasn't come close to playing his ace card
He's been a little TOO calm about all this. If the documents ARE fake, then's he got a way to prove that whole thing was a setup!
