You guys going to DC for the Inaugural...some Metro rules
I was making my way home on the Red Line as usual and noticed that
some of you guys are already here and you clearly don't know the
rules of Metro riding, here are a few...

Riding the Metro isn't just going down the escalator and hopping
on a train, there are rules.

1. If you are going to ride the escalator all the way to the top
or the bottom, stay to the right so that escalator walkers can get
by easily.

2. When getting ready to board the Metro train STAND TO THE SIDE
when the train arrives. The people on the train have to get off,
don't stand in the doorway blocking their egress or you might not
get on before the doors close.

3. And when you hear the lady say that the doors are closing don't try
to race to get on because the doors are going to close on you and it
hurts, like a lot. Not broken bone a lot but a lot.

That's basically it, I think that those are the main things to remember
about riding the Metro. Maybe there are others who live here that have
more advice.
