Should we be worried that some republicans are praising Eric Holder?
What are they up to? What are they planning? Are they going to try to persuade him not to investigate Bush crimes? hmmmm

3. Maybe some republicans
Are just as tired of all the crap that went on with Bush as we are! Obama is trying to unite the country, and getting republicans to help is the only way he can do it. Not all republicans are bad, and if we treat them that way we are no better than Bush and the neocons that destroyed our country. We need to unite the country not divide it more.

Sheesh. I fucking hate how people just make shit up, and then others fucking believe the shit, simply because they were already predisposed to believe in stupid shit.

11. Here's a link with a direct quote from Holder supporting wiretapping.
Holder's responses to the question of warrantless wiretapping gave even less to be optimistic about. "There are certain things that a president has the constitutional right that the legislative branch cannot impinge upon," Mr. Holder said, stressing that wiretapping had proven to be a critical intelligence tool. Like Obama, he said he supported the immunity provisions for telecoms as provided for by the Protect America Act of 2007.

have to agree.

Holder said it. You wanted the link. Now deal with it.

14. No, that's NOT the link I asked for. Look at what was requested....
Edited on Fri Jan-16-09 07:28 PM by BlooInBloo
It's all stupid, of course, since you're just making shit up. But if you can get me the link I requested, I'm happy to listen.

EDIT: Here's more kryptonite to your stupid:

http://thinkprogress.org/2009/01/09/kyl-holder-torture/

"As for Holder’s views on FISA, he’s on the record opposing President Bush’s bypassing of the law, saying in June that he never thought he “would see that a President would act in direct defiance of Federal law by authorizing warentless NSA surveillance of American citizens.”

Apparently, Holder’s belief that “we are best when we operate as people governed by the law” is reason enough for Kyl to oppose Holder’s nomination to be the nation’s chief enforcer of the law."

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/12/21/AR2005122102326_pf.html

Keep burning yourself with your own stupid. Please.

EDITEDIT: And get back here with those goalposts! You initially claimed it was WARRANTLESS wiretapping that Holder was for. The magic word is somehow magically missing in the last thing you said. How fascinating.

20. I don't believe that's a valid conclusion about Holder, but it's a moot issue.
Edited on Sat Jan-17-09 02:02 AM by AtomicKitten
The FISA court ruled that warantless wire-tapping was/is legal. This is the court's second ruling in decades. The ruling is a bit fuzzy on past actions, though.

18. Should I be worried that some Republicans praise the Chicago White Sox?
Bush even had them at the White House after the 2005 season! What are they planning? Are the White Sox complicit in war crimes? Are my hard-earned entertainment dollars going to support torture?!

23. Obama has an 83% approval rating.
Saying nasty things about his appointments probably isn't going to help the GOP's cause.
