5. Yes, he did...
When he visited the Washington Post today, one of the reporters asked if he was having a good time and his response was the quote in my OP.

3. This is probably the least of their crimes...
Preventing Obama from moving in is probably the kindest thing these criminals have done.

I can't even imagine the buried corruption and trap doors that will be revealed after
these thugs have high tailed it to their respective mansions.

You know damn well they've set economic and foreign-policy land mines that will go off
soon after Obama takes office.

That is when the house of cards falls, and you bet they'll be pointing the finger at
Obama, when it does fall.

10. If I was in their situation I would stay at the hotel until
after the inaguration. That is too much moving around for the kids.

11. I agree...
I would have stayed at the hotel. Pointless to move for 5 days. But it's "tradition."

22. Folks Have heard of the Hay Adams. The "tradition" of staying at Blair, they don't know.
Edited on Fri Jan-16-09 03:52 PM by MookieWilson
John Howard should have shacked up at the Hay Adams, or the Ambassador's residence.

What a jerk.

13. I thought the move was more about financial reasons. There was
a major cost involved in staying at the hotel.

15. As C.I.A. agent Felix says to James Bond in Casino Royale...
"Does it look like we need the money?"

The Obamas are loaded. They're sending their kids to $30k per year grade school. Hell, his book sales have probably gone through the roof even more in recent months.

16. The money for the hotel was being paid for by the transition team,
I don't think staying at the Blair house will cost the money the hotel did.

I always have to call friends and family when I'm moving - amazing how often people are suddenly busy when you ask them to help you move...

And if bush hadn't have been an asshole they wouldn't have to be moving again in the middle of everything else.

But, bush not being an asshole is like the Earth not revolving around the Sun. It ain't gonna happen.

That really ticked me off. They couldn't find 20-30 rooms for the Obama family and the transition team? How ridiculous.

31. He had another one from that interview...
The reporters were setting up a question by talking about how there's a lot of doom and gloom in the country right now. Obama cuts the reporter off before the question is asked and says, "Well the doom and gloom will end on January 20th." The whole room of reporters broke out in hysterical laughter.
