It's what you'd expect from the President of North Korea or a recent ex-President of Iraq. Not the POTUS.

3. so I should be able to enter with a Kerry tshirt on, right?
I mean, that footage of people being stomped and kicked at the RNC, their hair pulled, and the loyalty oath thing, that's all in our imaginations, riiiiiight?

FYI, the Secret Service is also protecting Kerry, as is their job during a campaign...yet, Kerry crowds are not hand-picked...how do you explain that?

loyalty oath.

My wife couldn't even go to work in the building next door without a background check yesterday and being searched today, even with her corporate picture ID.

2. Its pretty well established practice...
I remember we couldn't get within 100 yards of Bush 41 when he spoke at PennState 1992...

7. He gets such a free ride from press. Recent NYT headline was:
"Friendly Audiences on the Campaign trail make for Looser Livelier Bush"

A more truthful one would have been:

"On the Campaign Trail, in Front of Handpicked, Friendler Audiences, Bush is Looser and Livelier"

The NYT: 'ALL THE NEWS THAT FITS THE CHIMP"

4. That and his paultry number of press conferences.
He's afraid to face the public. He should be required to have open press conferences. We need the equivalent of the House of Commons free-for-all they have in Britain.

11. Absolutley! Everybody needs to know how * isn't willing to face
any opposition! There was a little bit of publicity on this, but not nearly enough! I know there were some hecklers at Kerry's recent appearances, but I was actually glad to see it. That means he ISN'T screening people who attend his rallies.

All the Dem supporters who appear on the talking head shows need to emphasize that you don't have to sign a committment to go to hear Kerry or Edwards speak! You won't be banned if you wear a shirt with a pro Bush message on it. Is Shrub really trying to get the openminded undecided voters to choose him, or maybe he really doesn't care about ALL the people!
