CNN) — Sarah Palin fired a new salvo in her war on the media, unloading in a new interview on her home state paper and “bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie.”

The Alaska governor, who has granted a steady stream of interviews since Election Day, also told an Esquire reporter that she wishes she had told McCain campaign advisors she’d be “callin’ some of the shots.”

"Bored, anonymous, pathetic bloggers who lie annoy me….I'll tell you, yesterday the Anchorage Daily News, they called again to ask — double-, triple-, quadruple-check — who is Trig's real mom,” she said, in an interview to be published in the magazine’s March issue

They were doing a story about where the rumor started, similar to the Washington Post story over where the "Obama is a Muslim" rumor started. They never reported or insinuated that the rumor was true. In short, the Anchorage Daily news response was "Do you have a reading comprehension problem?" This was probably one of the only areas where Anchorage Daily news was going to give a sympathetic story, but instead, Palin just failed to see the main point. She also said that "People need to move on from the 'You can see Russia from Alaska' statement. That has been taken out of context and mocked, but it's true! It's been proven by news sources!" Palin, the REASON why you were mocked was because it was offered as some sort of foreign policy credential. Get a clue. And if she wants to move on, maybe she should, um....

"I don't believe we have ever published in the newspaper a story, a letter, a column or anything alleging a coverup surrounding your maternity," wrote the editor in an e-mail sent to Palin and reprinted on the paper's blog. "In fact, my integrity and the integrity of the newspaper have been repeatedly attacked in national forums for our complicity in the 'coverup.'

Later, he added: "…So I don’t understand the behavior of the governor’s press office. Did the governor not share my email with the press staff? Did the press staff deliberately ignore what I said in order to have a longer list of press 'outrages'? Or are they just sloppy with details? I don’t know."

I voted for Obama, but I am going to be extremely "generous" to Palin. I remember being a lurker on DU and some other "left" leaning sites and reading about Trig-gate. BUT, Palin started that BS, when she told people that her water broke in Texas, and she didn't go to a hospital. And did I mention, she KNEW the baby would be born with DOWNS? And on top of that, she gets on a commercial flight from TX to AK, which is like 12 hours?

Yea fu*king right.

Doesn't take too many interviews for her to demonstrate exactly why the campaign kept her locked down as much as possible. They pretty much limited her interviews and it may have saved the GOP a few percentage points in the long run.

I'm wondering if we need a DU pool on the date she will self destruct completely in public. I give her less than six months, personally.
