Memo to PE Obama: Do not let shrub fly home to Texas on Air Force One.
He will fly to Texas after Obama's inauguration most likely on the same jet but it will no longer be designated as Air Force One, which is reserved for a plane carrying the president.

http://www.reuters.com/article/topNews/idUSTRE5091V020090110?feedType=RSS&feedName=topNews&rpc=22&sp=true

He does not deserve the honor of riding home on Air Force One. (It won't be called that when he flies to Texas after the inauguration, but it will be the same plane.) You Mr. Obama will have the authority to deny him that honor. shrub deserves no honors. Make him slink back to Texas aboard a commercial airliner. Let him be humiliated. He deserves it.

probably a small flask-oops, never mind the flask, that would have to be emptied into the basket with the shoes.

That guy can fly the fucking Antichrist all over the planet with out old 666 ever realizing his pilot's working for the other team. And Nicolae Carpathia is a hell of a lot smarter of a Satanic dictator than Chimpy. There must be a pilot somewhere who can pull this off.

31. While I can definitely see the appeal of ...
... letting Bush get a taste of what his department of Homeland Stupidity has turned air travel into for the rest of us, I don't think Obama would go for this idea.

Why not?

Because he is trying to show that he is a different kind of person, and will have a different kind of administration. When he leaves office, there will be no missing W key incidents, or other conduct unbecoming of a President -- nor will there be when he enters office.

36. You can take vindictiveness too far. Even Nixon was allowed to fly Air Force One back
to California after his resignation. Of course, Bush does not deserve the honor, but to deny it to him would show a meanness of spirit and I don't believe Obama wants to start his Presidency in that way.

09-Aug-74: Flew Nixon on his last flight as president from Andrews AFB to El Toro Maine Air Station near Los Angeles. Took off from as Air Force One and changed its call sign to SAM 27000 over Jefferson City, Missouri after Ford was sworn in to office.

Bush will be accorded the respect the office deserves, just like any other president who left office. Asking for Obama to change the process is petty and immature.

43. So protocol even applies to war criminals?
Due to his actions over the past eight years, there is no respect left in that office. Therefore shrub does not deserve to be treated with respect.

One of Obama's biggest tasks will be restoring respect to that office, and I believe he will.
