I highly doubt Reid loses in his 2010 primary, so it is likely that if he loses, it will be to a Repug

Since it is highly unlikely that we lose control of the Senate in the 2010 elections, who then becomes majority leader?

I'm really getting tired of Reid. It's time for Democrats to send a message that they will not stand for spineless leaders.

2. Are you suggesting Democrats support a Republican for Senator from NE?

4. I'm suggesting that a tough NV primary battle will heavily damage Reid's 2010 candidacy.
Making him damaged goods in the general election.

But it is a necessarily evil.

9. From the rules:
You are not permitted to use this message board to work for the defeat of the Democratic Party nominee for any political office. If you wish to work for the defeat of any Democratic candidate in any General Election, then you are welcome to use someone else's bandwidth on some other website.

5. The Dem caucus could elect anyone they want to.
Durbin would seem like the likely candidate, but another Dem senator might challenge him.

8. I thought that the Dems actually put this to a secret ballot. Not necessarily based on
seniority. But since our U.S. Constitution never mentioned political parties, it may be left up to the Rules Committee...sadly headed by DiFi. Either way, we're screwed.
