4. What art?
Edited on Wed Jan-07-09 01:31 PM by bunnies
 And is this 'art' pre-1981? If not, your 'art' is imitating life.

Pictures of actors... thats art?

on edit: the google tells me that this is /was some sort of tv drama show. Never heard of it. Seems like a silly association.

12. No it was really popular for a long time I think.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_West_Wing

It was on from 1999 to 2006. I just cant sit still and watch dramas in general, I get bored easily. I caught bits and parts of it over the years.

18. The Show began at the end of the Clinton Administration
Josh Lyman, who originally was President Bartlet's Deputy Chief of Staff is based off of Rahm Emaunel. President Elect Santos was based off on Obama (post DNC speech), and JOsh Lyman became Santos' Chief of Staff. Now tell me that isnt one hell of a coincidence.

31. Coincidence, nothing -- I'm sure Barack watched every episode.
And the show's writers were so much better than the hacks who produced the Bushista policies. I'd like to think that Obama is not so much bringing back Clinton people as following the example of President Bartlett. ;-)

Some of those involved turned to the series Jericho, another excellent series, cancelled some time back.

25. I quit 24 Cold Turkey two seasons ago, though it jumped the Shark in Season 3
The show was good for two seasons and then the bad acting and ridiculousness reared its ugly face in season 3.

28. It was one of the best series ever on TV.
It featured DEMOCRATIC president Joel Bartlett. It helped many of us get through the Bushista years. In its final season, it showed the campaign and election as president of a Hispanic politician, Santos (a character supposedly based on Obama after his 2004 Dem Convention speech).

27. Well, I have heard that the Santos character was based on Obama.
So it may be reality reflecting art, indeed.
