Why doesn't the Senate seat Burris temporarily
and make it contingent on the Blagojevich indictment (or non-indictment) in April?

1. that would be great, but I don't think Burris would go for it
he probably knows that would mean he's gone soon. He wants to stay it seems.

Then again I wouldn't accept an appointment from a crook.

4. Some say otherwise.
Some legal scholars cite the clause in the Constitution that says the Senate can decide for itself which credentials are valid and who to seat or not to seat. :shrug:
