2. I support Dennis.
His first challege as an Ohio mayor years ago was taking on the electric companies in Ohio. I don't have much and I'm not from his state, but I sent him the little I could during this election campaign and I intend to keep doing it now and then. I think he seems so "up" in this vid because he is gaining some clout. And I fully believe that he will keep using it for the little guy. Go Dennis!

6. I love his emphasis on creativity, on "re-creating" our country, and on positive goals
and a positive outlook. There is much to be gloomy about, for sure--not the least of it being Obama's corpo/fascist appointments. Never in the history of politics has a constituency been betrayed this dramatically, and this swiftly, on virtually all issues. My analysis: I think it's the 'TRADE SECRET' vote counting--the direct power of these far rightwing e-voting corps to determine the outcome of any election in the country, that suits their interests and their game plan, but most especially the 'election' of the emperor. I think Obama was compelled to make a deal with the war profiteers and the corporate looters. He could not do otherwise. He may be well-intentioned--and I think he is--and he may have been genuinely elected--and I think he was, by a much bigger margin than the "official count" reflects--but no one with the intent of real reform will be permitted anywhere near the White House. Period. That is our situation. That is his.

Kucinich is right. We have to work with it. We have to try to influence Obama and his administration as well as we can. But primarily, I think, we MUST restore transparent vote counting--which is still possible, since the power over voting systems still resides at the local/state level--or it will be Jeb in 2012 and a nazi state. Bill Clinton prepared the way for Bush II (bombing Iraq, softening it up for invasion; shoving "free trade" down our throats; balancing the budget on the backs of the poor; pouring billions of dollars into the corrupt, murderous "war on drugs"--resulting, for one thing, in thousands of union leaders and others murdered in Colombia, etc.). The Clintonites running Obama's administration will pave the way for Bush III. If we make any progress with the economy, they will come in and loot it all, as before. If we make any progress in restoring the Constitution and the rule of law, they will come in and shred it again. That's the plan. And, with 'TRADE SECRET' vote counting, run by far rightwing Bushite corporations, it will be easy to do.

I feel positive about the American people. I feel relief--as I'm sure we all do--that Cheney and Rumsfeld were successfully curtailed, and the nazi state they tried to set up has been somewhat mitigated and delayed. But with 'TRADE SECRET' vote counting, it's only a matter of time before they are back. I think that the people pushing for impeachment never seriously addressed the question of why it wasn't happening. It should have. I don't think the answer is vague--corruption, collusion, fear, blackmail--although all of these things were at work.* I think the answer is 'TRADE SECRET' voting counting--the power that the global corporate predators who are running things now have to directly control who gets elected. This is both a bludgeon power (as in their re-installation of Bush/Cheney in 2004), and a subtle power--the power to remove well-intentioned representatives, leaders who really were chosen by the voters. And it is a power--it should never be forgotten--that was given to far rightwing Bushite e-voting corps by our own party leaders.

Kucinich says, don't be gloomy. And I agree with that. Gloom doesn't help. In fact, the corpo/fascists thrive on our gloom--our demoralization, our feelings of powerlessness--and they work relentlessly to induce those feelings in the populace. But I think we need to keep our eyes open and fully understand what we are up against*, or our strategies for reform will fail. The FIRST reform that is needed will never come from Congress. (Congress, if anything, will only make it worse.) It has to come from the people. It will take time and will be difficult. But it is a MUST DO. We must--we simply MUST--restore transparent vote counting.

-----------

*(I do think that we were right on the edge of an outright putsch--Bush/Cheney nuking Iran, declaring martial law here, suspending elections, and remaining in power indefinitely. Circa 2006. I think part of the deal that convinced them to back down included no impeachment. But that things got that bad--that a 'white hat' cabal felt compelled to step in, and restore the illusion of democracy--is directly attributable to 'TRADE SECRET' vote counting, which was fast-tracked across the country during the 2002 to 2004 period, to overrule the American people on the Iraq War. (Nearly 60% of the American people opposed the Iraq War--Feb '03, all polls. The Iraq War Resolution and the "Help America Vote for Bush Act"--the 'TRADE SECRET' e-voting bill--were passed in the same month, Oct '02, as preliminaries to the invasion.) Bush/Cheney were never legitimately elected, and they therefore felt absolutely no loyalty to the American people, nor even to the semblance of democracy that we still have. The 'white hat' group felt that the semblance should be maintained. I don't consider Bush Sr to be a 'white hat'--far from it. But I think he was also involved. Cheney and Rumsfeld were out of control, and were angering and alarming a lot of establishment people. Order was restored, but it is not the order that we, the people, would wish. And it leaves us vulnerable to another putsch--an even worse one.)

(NOTE: Did you know that the new CIA director, Leon Panetta, was a member of Bush Sr's Iraq Study Group? What were his creds for that--budget director? He is deep CIA, in my opinion. I have to laugh at people questioning his intelligence "creds." He is so deep, hardly anybody knows who he really is. Clever guy. If you want smarts in a CIA director, it's him. However, if you want open government....).

9. 92% of Americans (Democrat & Republican)......
....support Transparent, Verifiable Elections !
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=203x446445

And yet, neither major political party dares to adopt this as a platform issue.

Neither political party even dares to openly discuss this issue.

Why?

10. because untransparent and unverifiable serves both parties....
...i mean, both wings of the same party. wiggle room is the abiding rule in politics. there MUST, AT ALL COSTS be an area where control is beyond the people.
