Here's An Encouraging Incident!
As I was doing door to door in my precinct (Michigan 12th district: southern Oakland County), one of the voters I spoke to was a middle aged man who took one look at me and said "You better be a Democrat!"

I said I was, and he went into a rant. He said, "I'm a vet and I didn't fight for this country so that George Bush could screw it all up. And everybody down at the VFW feels the same way. We have had it with him. I fought for America, I didn't fight so that all out jobs could get sent off to other countries!"

I hope he is right, and his brother veterans rise to their country's defense one more time.

4. My repug co-worker said, "you know, you're not going to believe that
I'm going to say this, but, I do blame Bush for shipping jobs overseas. I want to talk to a customer service rep who speaks English." It was the one topic that he brought up that pissed him off about Bush. The war and jobs...that's what gets people fired up. The message is getting out there. We've got 8 weeks to bring it on home!
