No leader in the history of this PLANET has ....
created more debt for their country than Bush has.

Bush inherited a national debt of about 5.6 trillion. He leaves office with a debt of 10.6 trillion.

This should be his legacy. The biggest spender the planet has ever seen.

Take a bow George.

1. Yeah, but he spent that money wisely, and built the greatest nation on Earth.
Or, wait, am I thinking of FDR...

2. Yeah but he and his pals got the biggest chunk of it so he did good -
for them.

And that's all he cares about.

7. The bank bail-out was a textbook free-for-all with no accountability - GOP style.
IMO the Republicans should sit down and STFU. But, noooooo. Expect to hear the word deficit dragged out of mothballs and hammered as if the GOP ever gave a crap. It's just a cudgel, a hypocritical cudgel.

9. Oh, yes. There's that bonus asshole move too.
There's a cartoon that I can't locate right now that depicts an elephant whispering into Uncle Sam's ear pointing to the auto worker in a line-up as the reason the auto makers failed.

10. You are correct. Shrub and his cronies are not stupid.
They are evil but they are not stupid. They knew exactly what they were doing.

12. Yup, that way government has no ability to do anything and
fascism can take root good and proper as they have been trying to do for the last hundred years or so.

13. Interesting chart
Looks like from 1992 to 2000 we had a surplus. I do believe that was when
there was a Democrat in office.
