'Twas the Night Before Christmas and All Through the House
not a DUer was stirring, not even a LOUSE,
because we all decided to put aside our differences and come together
for the betterment of humankind!

Well, I can dream, can't I? I just spent a lovely day with my family (many of whom are Republicans), and I had a libation or two as well. So maybe I'm full of Christmas spirit (or something else), but I really think everything will be okay.

Obama won... we will prevail....a new day is dawning...Merry Christmas, DU!!!! Thank you for being a part of the greatest liberal website on the internets!!!!:yourock:

3. Merry Christmas, and wish me luck.
I'm driving from Minneapolis to Milwaukee to my right wing family, who voted for Hillary so they could vote against her in the fall, who think Sarah Palin will win in 2012. They think we Liberals are afraid of her. Its all amusing, until Christmas dinner.

I'm going to stress that we need to look for what we have in common, because we are all in the same boat.

That argument never works with them, but I will try again.

*sigh*

Good luck.
Just remind them how much money rich people have lost in the last year. The last year of bush.
That ought to float the boat.

Mele Kalikimaka!

4. My thoughts are with you
Seriously. When family members (such as mine) are that far gone, I've found that a populist approach is the only thing that "works." The results are mixed, but better than anything else I've tried. Merry Christmas, and safe travels!

7. If I didn't have to wake up to a 5yo & 2yo at the crack of dawn...
I'd be right there with you. I actually have stuff for mimosas in the morning, but no way could I function with a hangover and kids.
