So which is it? Are we ALL sinners, or do some manage to cease to be sinners?

If some manage to cease to be sinners, then your first statement about "we are ALL sinners" is not correct, is it? You could say "we have all, at some time, been sinners" perhaps, with the implication being that *some* have gotten past that awkward stage and are no longer sinners -- is that what you mean? Because if so, I'd like to meet just ONE of you, who no longer sins. Do you know any?

Because if you don't, then ALL fall into the second category of those who continue to sin.
