4. No because they are out of money and Bush is stalling
and the Republicans in Congress torpedoed a bailout.

6. What??? I made it as straightforward as possible.
Chrysler is furloughing all its factory workers and shutting down every plant until the 19th of January at least.

What part don't you follow?

5. Got Blogo Off the Headlines! And Put Warren in the News
The Reverend Lowrey is not getting a public stage, now is he! Just what the bigots love a public pulpit to preach to the non-beleivers.

7. Those of us who've spent our lives working in, for, and through something called "the working class"
have gotten used to being ignored in mainstream politics and media, so we don't fill message boards up with it. The proletariat is also universal in terms of membership, so we don't get the benefit of sexy identity politics. We just sludge away everyday trying to improve people's lives while knowing full well that triumphant capitalism is also universal, a universal catastrophe. We don't even really complain when various identities get constructed through their particular adherence to the very bourgeois values that destroy workers everywhere, literally destroy them, body and soul. Hell, we even try to learn from them. And we just sludge away every day...

8. I'm a woman, mother, and full time employee: I can Multi-Task. Yes,
they are on Shut Down for a month. Normally, it lasts two weeks over the holidays. They are going for a month, hoping that Obama will shove some money into the company if Bush and idiot congress continue their shit.

9. Even though hubby and I got the boot
over a year ago, my heart hurts for everybody hurting. It's really a sad day when the middle class has almost nothing left.

10. The working class
It's not a dirty (set of) word(s). We don't have to use their stupid vocabulary.

13. Exactly, hanging Obama before he is sworn in is much more
important to those on DU then jobs. When our ecomomy goes back to the likes of the Great Depression everything else won't matter much.

actually. DUers can multi-task, no doubt.
