I've said it before and I'll say it again. If we don't find a way to pull that rug out from under his ass, it's over.
I can't understand why WE didn't capitalize on the 911 nausea fest that Bush called his convention? Why we didn't - and why we aren't going after Bush hard on his failure to protect America that day is baffling.
Imagine if a Democrat were in office when 911 took place? Do you think for one second that Rove/Bush and the junta wouldn't be all over it?! Especially if we used this as a disgusting prop for our convention?
We let opportunity after opportunity slide on by and wonder why we lose elections? :wtf:
Ok, we haven't lost YET, but polls indicate
today that
"Terrorism" has superceeded the Economy as THE MOST IMPORTANT issue in this election. So do we let Bush continue to "pretend" he's fighting an effective war on Terror? Why do we let him call 911 a success? :eyes:
Shit folks, the clock is ticking ...
This article is but a sliver of an idea of what were passing up on:
It's frustrating as hell to watch the Democrats run a lame campaign again.
I can see WHY were behind in the polls, why on earth can't the Kerry campaign get a grip here?
http://www.strike-the-root.com/4/bovard/bovard2.htmlPrime example of what I'm talking about:
Perpetual Wars, Endless Enemies
...
A week after the 9/11 attacks,Bush proclaimed he wanted Osama bin Laden "dead or alive" and made bin Laden the poster boy for the war on terrorism. Six months later, when asked about Osama at a press conference, Bush groused that bin Laden is "just a person who's now been marginalized" and insisted: "I just don't spend that much time on him, to be honest with you." From the initial targeting of al Qaeda, the enemies list expanded to include Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Somalia, and Libya, as well as an array of private groups.Do you see the quotes I highlited above? Do you NOT think that contrasting his quotes on Osama in a campaign commercial might be politically effective? Both comments were made on camara!
Here's one idea for an effective/quickie commercial:
We run an ad opening with this question.
Q: "Is George Bush "really" tough on Terror?"
We show his first dead or alive statement then say: "George Bush says he's tough on terror, but in reality, six months after 911, President Bush forgot all about Osama Bin Laden."
Show the second statement where Bush says of Osama "I don't spend that much time on him" then air a banner that says "Never Forget" (because they love to say that shit over and over again.) End by saying: Vote for John Kerry, he hasn't forgotten Osama Bin Laden, he will fight a tough effective war on terror. blah blah blah ...
We've got
so much information to work with, and we let it slip right on by ... I found this article with the quote above in about 60 seconds.
GRRRR! /rant
