2. Yeah, except folks here are ticked because they hate him
and folks there are ticked because they want to have his children and think he's God.

4. Well, most Americans are church-going... and Rick Warren is kind of a typical pastor.
He's just about where most pastors are these days..

10. They think Obama supports infanticide and no 'true Christian' minister would ever stand on stage
with Obama.

13. This guy is going to be on stage for a few minutes and that's it.
I don't see why people are gnashing their teeth over it. I can't stand the guy, but I'm not going to fall on the fainting couch just because he's giving an invocation that will last a couple of minutes.

But if I met him I would choose to show him love and kindness. It always works out best.

If he is angry, or is making mistakes, then I have to realize everyone gets angry or sometimes makes mistakes.

But if someones anger or darkness gets you angry, you join them you do not fight them. And it is possible that all his arguments are based on his perception of what God's love is. And getting angry at him isn't going to change that. And it is possible nothing will change his view. But ultimately we are responsible first, for how we act and feel.

Two scenarios.

1 gays yell and scream at a preacher, or get angry and demand people ignore him.

2 gays show him love and forgiveness for what they see as unjust acts from their viewpoint of his viewpoint.

Which one is best.

Note that both still allow for a group to express its opinion.

18. Sorry, but 80% of Americans do not worship Warren
This whole idea that if people on the left oppose it and people on the right oppose it then it must be a good decision is such a simplistic and lazy argument. Show me your statistics which prove that 80% of Americans want someone who opposes civil rights to give the invocation, if you can't provide those numbers then it shows that you do not have an argument here.

22. Who could possible disagree with a statement like this?
Rick Warren: But the issue to me is, I知 not opposed to that as much as I知 opposed to the redefinition of a 5,000-year definition of marriage. I知 opposed to having a brother and sister be together and call that marriage. I知 opposed to an older guy marrying a child and calling that a marriage. I知 opposed to one guy having multiple wives and calling that marriage.

Steven Waldman: Do you think, though, that they are equivalent to having gays getting married?

Rick Warren: Oh I do.

http://www.boxturtlebulletin.com/2008/12/16/7415

Who could disagree? And his views on abortion - so steadfast! Not even the life of the mother is to interfere with saving that little fetus's life, because the fetus is more important than the woman, don't you know?

And it's so comforting to know that children will be taught that the earth is only 6,000 years old and any scientific comments to the contrary are ungodly.

Rick Warren is the ideal choice to symbolize Obama's connection to God. Don't you agree? Who wouldn't?
