I'm supremely pleased at the pro-science stance the Obama admin. is taking.
There were rumors soon after the election that Obama was considering anti-science types for his cabinet. Scientifically illiterate rubes who cared more about conspiracy theories than rational thinking. If the rumors had been true, he'd have simply replaced anti-stem cell creationist nuts with anti-vaccine nuts. Thankfully, the rumors were false. And his picks have been pro-science, pro-stem cell, pro-bio tech, and pro-alternative energy. Good stuff. I'm wondering who his science adviser will be.

1. This was an important part of the Clinton and Obama campaigns. I'm not surprised.
We're the smart party.

6. Those were the rumours that RFK Jr would get a science post.
He's taken up with Jenny McCarthy and her anti-vaccine crowd.

4. a breath of fresh (well maybe soon) air. it is such a relief to hear a
president support science over dogma. it is astounding that it had to be said at all, but he certainly did need to make a clear break from psycho fundie *.

5. I like his facts base approach to policy
it is refreshing to see someone who actually looks at both sides of every issue and weigh them with the facts.
