Former Chicago Assistant Fed. Prosecutor Scott Turow just convinced Rachel Maddow that Fitzgerald DOES have enough evidence to successfully prosecute and indite Blagojevich. He said the case was rushed, as Fitzgerald said, because it would've been too late to indite him AFTER Blagojevich appointed a replacement for Obama. He said the act of attempting to gain private benefit for a public act crosses the legal line. (I may have left some stuff out, but that's the idea.)

3. Yes, a multi-talented man. And someone Rachel admires! /nt
Rachel is NOT averse to being "told" something she needs to know...most of us here are willing to learn everyday.

5. I'm surprised, though, that she was successfully talked down by him...
there have been other knowledgeable people on the subjects but she was never convinced-until tonight. And I'm glad he said Fitzgerald WILL be successful. It's important.

2. Perceived benefit is against ethics code in IL
...at least for state workers, which I'd assume Blago is.

4. Not unlike Troopergate
Ethics have proven to be a very sticky wicket in the past few decades, haven't they?
