The more America hates Palin, the more Republicans love her
While the public is giving Obama a nice honeymoon, it’s finalizing its divorce from President Bush. A whopping 79% in the poll say they’re not going to miss him when he leaves office. That’s compared with 55% who said the same of Clinton in December of 2000. Moreover, almost half (48%) think that Bush will go down as one of the worst presidents in our history. Just 18% said that of Clinton and only 6% said that of Bush 41. But Bush 43 isn’t the only Republican who has taken a hit in the new NBC/WSJ poll. Dick Cheney leaves office with sporting an all-time low in his personal rating. And the Republican Party’s fav/unfav is 27%-52%, which is its lowest rating ever in the poll (by comparison, the Democratic Party’s is nearly reversed, 49%-28%). And get this: The most popular Republican we tested is Condi Rice, whose fav/unfav 47%-18%. But among Republicans only, the most popular is Palin -- with a whopping 73%-13% rating. But Palin's overall score is a net negative, 35%-45%, which means she fares poorly among Democrats and independents.

12. Republicans are always out of step with normal Americans. Always.
You would expect the Democratic and Republican results on questions like these to be polarized. But when you see the independents siding decisively with the Dems, you know who's out of touch.

7. I don't think that's true...
I just thinks it's that, pound for pound, Republicans are some of the dumbest land mammals ever to walk the face of the earth.

3. This is ironic
because prior to her nomination for VP and the subsequent exposure of all her faults, she was most popular in Alaska with Dems and Independents and less so with the old-guard Republicans. She did herself no favors by running for VP on such a narrow platform.

9. That woman is pure electoral magic!

Palinium - a substance which Republicans adore, yet renders them loathesome to everyone else.

6. I'd like to make a pledge.
My pledge is to avoid all news articles (unless they are life threatening), interviews, posts, etc. on ANYTHING REGARDING SARAH PALIN. Part of the reason why she still gets coverage is because people (for and against her) STILL PAY ATTENTION TO ANYTHING SHE DOES.

Yes, much of the problem is the MSM. HOWEVER, A LOT of the blame is on everyone as well.

So, please, pledge with me on changing/muting/shutting off/avoiding/etc. ANYTHING to regards to Sarah Palin. The more of us who do this, the more likely she will go away.

Let's stop posting articles about Palin. Let's stop even TALKING about her. She's useless. She's the Paris Hilton of politics. Nothing she says has any bearing on our country. IGNORE HER.

Thank you.

10. Palin in a way is becoming a Hillary Clinton of the republicans with her presidential run situation
I don't mean any disrespect to Clinton by saying this, but there's quite a few similarities I'm starting to notice in terms of Palin and Hillary's situation at running for the white house right now.

For most of the 2008 campaign Hillary had a polarizing 50/50 split with the American public overall, yet she was the front runner.

Palin has a worst 50/50 split in terms of the general election, Hillary was usually polling a few points higher in positive then negative ratings, while Palin is polling more negative then positive, her positive numbers have been very stable over time, while her negatives keep going up. And yet despite how polarizing she is she's still the front runner in 2012 right now (though honestly, I highly doubt she'll do anywhere near as well as Hillary Clinton did).

Sarah Palin is actually probably in a far worse situation then Hillary Clinton was with her polarizing image back then. Hillary may have had a 50/50 split, but it was more balanced, there were quite a few democrats, often the more liberal ones, who hated her. She also did better among republicans and independents then Palin does with democrats and independents right now. That met that in a general election there were quite a few democrats who disapproved of Hillary who in all likelyhood would end up voting for Hillary in order to vote against McCain.
